Steady Health announced the first full-service endocrinology clinic to operate in the United States. This service is only available to California residents. Full service means that the clinic provides:
-
Quarterly video visits to discuss treatment and care plans, as well as ongoing challenges
-
Lab orders, referrals, and prescriptions
-
Data analysis from CGM readings and the Steady app (which collects information from the user around diet, exercise, and medication)
-
Online appointment booking and healthcare professional messaging
-
Continuous coaching and digital care
-
Partnership with a primary care provider to keep track of overall health
Henrik Berggren, Founder and CEO of Steady Health, said, "This year I've had diabetes for 20 years and I'm really excited to be launching Steady and deliver a new type of care. Care that is both convenient, based on science, and connected to your CGM. We look forward to hearing feedback from patients all over California."
How much does it cost?
Steady Health’s services are partly covered by insurance and partly paid out of pocket. For insurance, they are in-network with several insurance companies like Aetna and Cigna & HealthNet. Steady Health is currently working to become in-network with other major health plans in California.
For the out-of-pocket portion, the clinic charges every member $60 per month for subscription. If your insurance is out-of-network, a video visit costs $200, in addition to the $60 monthly subscription fee. See its membership page for more information.
How to sign up
To sign up, go to Steady Health’s website, download the app (on iPhone or Android), and complete the registration process. At this time, the clinic can see new people within a few days.
Steady Health is planning to provide services in more states later this year. Would you like to see Steady Health in your state? Email them and let them know!
